Kangaroos are unique Australian animals known for their hopping movement, strong hind legs, and pouches for carrying joeys. They eat plants, are most active at dawn and dusk, and use powerful kicks for defense. Kangaroos range in size from small wallabies to large red kangaroos, which can grow as tall as adults.
